Privacy Policy

Crumb Trail is an invite-only creator workspace. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to creators who connect a social account.

Information we collect

We collect pilot-access details supplied by prospective creators, including email, creator handle, home city, and what they hope to make with Crumb Trail. We use this information only to review pilot fit and contact the creator about access. We also collect account and workspace details supplied by invited creators, including name, email, locale, time zone, and preferences. When a creator authorizes Instagram, we receive the connected professional account identifier, username, granted permissions, access credentials, and owned-media information made available through Meta's official API. That media information can include captions, post identifiers, media types, permalinks, timestamps, carousel children, and authorized media files.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate creators, synchronize their owned content, generate drafts, preserve evidence and attribution, organize recommendations, provide maps and guides, and operate and secure the service. AI-generated suggestions are drafts and are not published without creator review.

Service providers

Crumb Trail uses infrastructure and processing providers such as Vercel, Neon, Resend, Cloudflare, Mapbox, OpenAI, and Meta. Each provider receives only the information required for its function. We do not sell creator information or use connected Instagram content for third-party advertising.

Retention and security

Provider credentials are encrypted at rest. Authorized source media used for processing is private and scheduled for deletion within 24 hours. Generated exports are scheduled for deletion after 30 days. Pilot requests remain while the pilot is active or until the creator asks us to remove the request. Evidence, creator edits, and publication history remain until the creator removes the relevant data or account, subject to security, legal, and backup-retention requirements.

Your choices

Creators can disconnect Instagram from Crumb Trail or Meta, request deletion of Instagram-derived data, and request an export or deletion of their Crumb Trail account. Disconnecting stops future access and does not silently remove independently authored creator work. A Meta data-deletion request removes stored Meta credentials and scrubs Instagram-derived source data.
